Lewis takes Second place at Qualifying in Bahrain

Thumbs Up From Lewis

Lewis Hamilton once again qualified second with a strong set of qualifying rounds. Q3 was very comfortable for Lewis on the hard tyres but all the weaker teams decided to go for the option tyre (faster yellow compound) and Lewis was almost pushed out of Q2. Lewis survived unlike Michael Schumacher and had a strong Q2. Lewis had two runs in Q3 and managed to get himself a place on the front row coming in at second. 1.32.442 was Vettel pole time and Lewis was only a tenth behind Vettel so the front row is very close.

A lot can happen overnight so we really can't say who has the real pace in this interesting GP. I am predicting tyre strategy to be key with pitstops playing a key role in securing the Bahrain GP number one spot for tomorrow.

Any thoughts and opinionsabout todays qualifying?

Hamilton Tops First Practice In Bahrain

Lewis Hamilton topped first practice in usual style in Bahrain. Hamilton put in a 1.33.572 on the altered Bahrain track and was pretty far ahead of the nearest car in 2nd. Three-tenths off Hamilton in second was Vettel. Coming in Third was Paul Di Resta. Nico Rosberg was forth and Jenson followed in fifth.

Not a bad start to the Bahrain GP, Any thoughts?.

Lewis On Mind Set

Lewis Hamilton

Following Lewis' media hounding, Lewis is showing  his mental strength and how much he has learned from his mistakes.
"I definitely think that the last three years have added to where I am today," he said. "There have been a lot of lessons learnt and a lot of good and bad experiences, which of course definitely help you when you have a good car and when you're in a much better position.
"As like all athletes, you have to get your mind set in a certain way and there are many things that can affect that. For example, look at Tiger Woods: he's there and sometimes he's not and he's the best out there. It's really a massive mental game which is about trying to get your mind on the right path."
Positive approach from the talented F1 ace and I would love to see Lewis build on such a positive attitude.
Any thoughts on Lewis' comments?

Lewis Targets Consistency

With last years consistency problems now in Lewis Hamiltons mirror Lewis feels he can learn from last years misfortunes.

"The target every year is to have consistency and some years it doesn't go to plan," said the former world champion ahead of Sunday. "But this year I am fortunate to be on the podium at each of the three races, so it's fantastic."

With a level headed approach to each race Lewis is showing a mature and experienced head on his shoulders and who knows we could be looking at a second title for Lewis.

I personally feel Lewis needs to grab a second or first place in the next few races in order to cement his name as a contender for the 2012 WDC.

Anyone else Agree?

Let me know your opinions on Lewis' consistency
